RLX

For iPhone

A calmer way to use Screen Time.

Choose the apps, categories, and websites that can wait. If you do not want to block an app, Pause Before Opening gives you a brief moment before it opens.

Your choice

Choose apps, categories, and websites in Apple’s own Screen Time picker. RLX uses the real name and icon Apple renders locally whenever they are available.

Clear, not cryptic

For a larger or mixed choice, RLX summarises the labels Apple provides. It never invents an app name when Apple does not provide one.

Private, with no account

No account, ads, analytics, in-app purchases, or subscription. Your journal, worries, support plan, and wellbeing data stay on your iPhone unless you export them yourself; an optional iCloud copy keeps eligible settings, tasks, Child Mode, and progress.

Screen Time that fits real days.

Protection is not a punishment. Make a boundary for now, at set times, or with a daily limit. RLX shows which layer is active, so you understand what is happening.

  1. Choose what can wait. Apple determines what is available in the Screen Time picker.
  2. Choose your boundary. Turn protection on now, plan a time window, or use a daily limit.
  3. Stay in control. Ordinary protection has a deliberate way out; Locked is for a temporary, clearly stronger commitment.
Clear about coverage

RLX uses Apple Screen Time on iPhone and protects only the apps, categories, and websites you choose there. In Safari, a separate optional layer can limit adult sites (18+) or clearly named domain sets. RLX is not a universal block for everything you can open on the internet.

Pause Before Opening.

Choose individual apps you want to keep available but open more deliberately. RLX puts a brief pause before one opens. Continue deliberately and that same app stays open for 15 minutes.

Categories and websites deliberately do not belong here. Use Protect for those.

There when you need it.

Use RLX from widgets, Control Center, Shortcuts, the Action button, or an NFC sticker you set up yourself. Put a small invitation to pause where it is most useful, without making your phone more complicated.

A little more room for you.

Rest, sleep, writing, and movement live alongside Screen Time, not as a sprawling programme to keep up with. Use a short exercise, a breathing moment, a thought, or a walk when it genuinely helps. No subscription or paywall.
